Certified B Corp

The SilverChef Group is a Certified B Corporation, part of a global movement of business as a force for good. SilverChef was among the first organisations to qualify as a B Corp in Australia, almost ten years ago. We’re hopeful that we’ll successfully recertify as a B Corp in 2024 and celebrate 10 years as a B Corp in 2025.

Community programs

The SilverChef Group’s global Community Program was introduced in 2022. It comprises Community-Equip, a discounted finance product specifically for not-for-profit community groups; and Community Grants, where we provide grants to community organisations, with a total value of $20,000 AUD per quarter.

The figures below show the status of our grants program as at the end of FY24.

Opportunity International

The SilverChef Group proudly donated a total of $181,000 to Opportunity International in the 2024 financial year. This included payroll giving from our team, which is matched by SilverChef, and donations from our customers. This financial support is assisting Opportunity International to provide microfinance loans to more than six million people working to lift themselves, their families and their communities out of poverty.

Volunteering

All our people receive two paid volunteering days every year. They use their time to support and uplift a wide range of community causes, including saving lives through blood donations, volunteering at the Lunar New Year Parade in Vancouver, supporting the Vancouver Food Bank, and volunteering at Fitness is a Drag, to name just a few.
