SilverChef’s Canadian Leadership Team
Philip Godkin, CEO
Phillip assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at SilverChef in February 2020. He stepped into this position during the COVID pandemic and has since focused on guiding SilverChef towards further expansion. Phillip’s vision involves continuing to invest in the global hospitality industry and helping more customers achieve their dreams.
Before joining SilverChef, Phillip accumulated two decades of experience within the Westpac Group, serving in various executive leadership roles. His most recent position was as General Manager, Specialist Finance, overseeing operations at St George, Bank of Melbourne, Bank SA, Westpac, and Capital Finance.
Stuart Zalunardo, President Canada
Stuart joined the SilverChef team in November 2020, initially as Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand, before taking charge of SilverChef's Canadian operations. With a rich background spanning over 30 years in the finance industry, Stuart brings valuable expertise to the team.
Before joining SilverChef, he held the position of National Head of Industry Business Banking at St George Group, where he led a national team of industry-focused business bankers across St George, BankSA, and Bank of Melbourne.
Catherine French, Vice President, Finance
Catherine joined SilverChef in July 2022 as Vice President of Finance - Canada, responsible for SilverChef's financial strategy and financial operations in Canada.
Catherine has more than 15 years’ experience as a CFO in privately-owned companies in real estate, senior healthcare and finance industry sectors. Prior to SilverChef, Catherine was CFO at the Buron Group, a private company that developed and operated senior housing communities in Canada and the US.
Roberto Nardi, Vice President, Sales – Eastern Canada
Roberto joined SilverChef in September 2022 as Vice President of Sales in Eastern Canada. He currently leads our team of sales professionals in the Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic market.
Prior to joining SilverChef, Roberto spent over 20 years in the Financial Services industry in various leadership roles. He is an accomplished sales leader who specializes in driving sales through building strong business relationships and streamlining sales processes. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in building sales teams from the ground up to drive brand growth.
Sheena Duddy, Vice President, Certified Used
Sheena joined SilverChef in 2018 as a Dealer Relationship Manager in BC for three years before moving into the head position of the Canadian Certified Used Equipment team - a division that provides a business-critical remarketing channel for equipment returned through our flagship rental product, Rent–Try–Buy.
She spent 10 years in the Canadian Banking and Wealth Management Industries before she found SilverChef where she now gets to combine her passion for the hospitality industry with her skills and experience.
Jasdeep Chhokar, Vice President, Sales – Western Canada
Jas started at SilverChef in July 2018 as a Regional Sales Manager for British Columbia, before advancing to the role of Vice President of Sales for Western Canada in 2020. In his current capacity, Jas leads our Sales Teams in British Columbia, Alberta, and the rest of the prairies. He fosters growth within our dealer network channel in Western Canada, a pivotal channel in supporting hospitality businesses in the Canadian marketplace.
Prior to joining SilverChef, Jas accumulated over 15 years of experience as a sales professional, where he occupied various sales and leadership positions focusing across a wide range of industries, including hospitality.
Josh Stapelmann, Vice President, Customer Experience
Josh joined SilverChef in September 2018 as a Collections Case Manager. Now as Vice President of Customer Success, he leads the team to ensure quality and compliance are upheld, while offering the best experience to our customers and stakeholders.
Josh took on the role of Vice President, Customer Experience in 2022 after progressively building his career in SilverChef in both the Collections and Customer Experience spaces.
Sandra Zalunardo, Vice President, People
Sandra joined SilverChef in April 2018 as the Vice President of People for SilverChef Canada. In 2022, she added the Econolease team to her remit and now leads the people teams across both the SilverChef and Econolease brands.
Sandra brings over 20 years of Human Resources Experience. She has held various leadership and generalist roles in retail, professional services, aviation, manufacturing, and healthcare. She has a wealth of knowledge focused on talent management and succession planning, as well as building high performing teams and inclusive cultures.
Caroline Schmidt, Vice President, US Marketplace
Caroline joined SilverChef in 2017 as the Collections Team Manager. From there she has held a variety of leadership roles across the organization in Sales and Customer Service. She has also led teams in our Toronto and Brisbane offices. In 2022 she was tasked with expanding SilverChef into the USA with a new direct to consumer finance marketplace.
Caroline is an accomplished finance leader, bringing with her over 25 years of of progressive customer service, credit, operations and fintech experience.
Carsten Mildenstein, Vice President, Credit & Risk – Canada
Carsten joined SilverChef in 2023 as the Vice President for Credit & Risk across both the SilverChef and Econolease brands in Canada and the US. He is responsible for the overall risk management of our North American operations through the application of risk, credit and arrears management frameworks, policies and procedures.
Carsten brings over 20 years of experience in various leadership positions across the Canadian banking industry within large banking organizations and the credit union system in British Columbia and Alberta. His most recent position was as Vice President of Credit Risk Management at First West Union.
Kiana Betts, Marketing Lead
Kiana joined SilverChef in 2021 as the Marketing Lead, responsible for growing SilverChef’s brand presence in Canada. She collaborates with the Brisbane based global marketing team to drive key marketing initiatives in Canada and works closely with our dealer partners to support their growth by offering them tools to engage with their customers around financing.
Kiana's career began in the restaurant industry, providing her with valuable insights into the food and beverage sector, including achievement of the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 Award in Wine. She then continued her career in marketing, working for one of the top real estate developers in Vancouver. Combining her passion for hospitality with marketing drove her to join SilverChef.
